Resolve has a handy way of dealing with mapped volumes, and macOS tends to consistently mount external volumes correctly. Windows, on the other hand, assigns drive letters, and can assign the wrong one for various reasons. Here’s how to fix it using a program called diskpart:

cmd.exe > run as administrator

>diskpart
>list volume
>select volume #
>assign letter=V
You can also remove a letter to free it up for reassignment:
>remove letter=I
